From April 9th to 11th, 2021, the ‘Fifth Aquatic Feed Practical Technology Forum in Central China’, which co-sponsored by Anhui Agricultural University, Anhui Fisheries Technology Extension Station and Anhui Fisheries Society and undertaken by Animal Science and Technology College of Anhui Agricultural University was grandly held in Hefei, Anhui. Nearly 1,000 representatives from many domestic aquatic universities, scientific research institutions and related enterprises participated in this forum. Academician Mai Kangsen of Ocean University of China, Researcher Xie Shouqi of Institute of Hydrobiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Prof. Chen Liqiao of East China Normal University, and Researcher Zhou Zhigang of Feed Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and other well-known experts delivered keynote speeches at the forum. Mr. Zeng Mengzhao, Technical Director of Nutriera Group, was invited to attend  and give a keynote report.

The central part of China consists of six neighboring provinces, Hubei, Hunan, Anhui, Jiangxi, Henan and Shanxi. This area gathers a large number of aquaculture and feed production enterprises, and has rich aquatic higher education and scientific research resources. As an important aquaculture and feed production area of China, it’s also one of the important cradles of China's aquatic science and technology innovation. Under the background of industry transformation and upgrading, the aquaculture methods in central China are changing rapidly, which will become an important driving force for the development of China's aquaculture feed industry. Anhui Province, as the host of the forum, has witnessed rapid economic development in recent years, expanding the scale of aquaculture and promising prospects of aquatic feed market.

Participants of the Central Region Aquatic Feed Practical Technology Forum are general managers, technical directors, purchasing directors of aquatic feed enterprises, purchasing and technical personnel of aquaculture enterprises, researchers from research institutes, teachers and graduate students from universities. Since its establishment, the forum has been successfully held four sessions in Wuhan (2013), Changsha (2015), Zhengzhou (2017), and Nanchang (2019) accordingly. Famous domestic academic scholars and industry leaders have attended the forum, and it has become a grand event in aquatic feed industry.

In recent years, the structural transformation and upgrading of aquaculture in Central China has become obvious. On the one hand, it has developed from traditional grass carp to special species. On the other hand, large-size grass carp farming has quickly become a hotspot due to its outstanding benefits.

Nutriera Group has been committed to promoting the transformation and upgrading of aquaculture and feed in Central China and all regions of the country. ‘The first Aquatic Extruded Feed Development Forum of Central China’ was organized in 2016 and it played a milestone role in the development of grass carp extruded feed in Central China. In March 2019, Nutriera hosted the ‘China Aquatic Feed Enterprise Product Upgrade and Operation Transformation Forum’ in Wuhan to keep abreast of the pulse of the industry and promote the progress of the industry.

In this forum, Mr. Zeng Mengzhao, Technical Director of Nutriera Group, made a keynote report entitled "Central China’s Large-size Grass Carp Nutritive Farm Care and Efficiency Plan". Not only did he share the solution to the pain point of the emerging hot model of large-size grass carp farming, but also integrated into Nutriera group's innovative technological concept of "nutrition + farm care".

In response to the current situation of slow growth, high feed coefficient, and poor physical fitness in the process of cultivating large-size grass carp in Central China, the report proposed a systematic and efficient solution from two aspects of nutrition and farm care. According to the climate and fish body specifications, the large-size grass carp is divided into 4 growth stages, and for each stage, nutrition and farm care measures are accurately proposed to maximize the efficiency of breeding. This report received extensive attention and high praise from the guests on site.

Nutriera Group has always been committed to serving and leading the healthy development of the industry and ensuring the health and safety of aquatic foods. It can be achieved through the supporting of premixes and functional additives, farm care products, raw materials and other products, combined with a series of “nutrition + farm care” and efficiency programs that the organic integration of breeding benefits and ecological health. In the future, Nutriera Group will continue to utilize its advantages in technology research and development, and make unremitting efforts to promote the healthy and rapid development of the global aquaculture industry.
