Nutriera experts were invited to attend the 2019 UGC International Conference (India) and give presentations
The 2019 UGC International Conference on Innovation and Research Advances in Aquaculture, Fisheries and Exploration of Deep Sea Fishing, which co-organized by K.G.R.L. University and Adikavi Nannaya University, was held on 28th - 29th August, 2019 at K.G.R.L University in Andhra Pradesh, India. Mr. Dong, the Director of the International Business Department of Guangdong Nutriera Group Co., Ltd, led a technical team to attend the conference and made several keynote reports.
The two-day conference attracted more than 200 aquatic industry elites from India and abroad. Senior government officials and entrepreneurs, including Dr. G.V. R. Sastry (Chairman, Coastal Inida Development Council, New Delhi), Mr. Kotikalapudi Govinda Rao (President, The Bhimavaram Education Society), Mr. U. K. Viswanadha Raju (Chairman, Ananda Group), gave welcoming speeches at the opening ceremony.
Mr. Dong made a report entitled “Trends and Opportunities for Aquafeeds”. He took China's aquaculture and feed development as an example to share the development and changes of China's aquatic industry from various perspectives, as well as new trends and opportunities for the industry. China's aquaculture development experiences and knowledge can be referenced by the Indian aquaculture industry. The population of India is similar to China, but the amount of aquaculture and aqua feed of India are just 12% and 14% as those of China respectively. In recent years, India’s economy has developed rapidly and the aquatic industry has great potential for further development. The important information sharing and forward-looking analysis conveyed in the report gave the participants great encouragement and confidence.
Mr. Zhang, Technical Manager of Guangdong Nutriera Group Co., Ltd, is a well-known expert in the Indian fisheries industry. He has made great contributions to the technical promotion of new aqua species such as snakehead fish. Then he gave a report entitled "Snakehead Fish Farming Practice & Feed Technology in India", which sharing the key points about the snakehead fish breeding technology, standardized farming technology, feed nutrition technology. This wonderful report has aroused great interest and response from the audience, and is full of confidence and enthusiasm for the promotion and popularization of the new high-value variety of snakehead fish.
India yearly produced and consumed more than 450,000 tons pangasius, making it the world's largest consumer of pangasius. But pangasius has many challenges in farming mode, feed technology and processing & export of fillet in India. Mr. Wu, Technical Manager of Guangdong Nutriera Group Co., Ltd, gave a report on "Pangasius Consumption Trends in China & Export Opportunities for India". The report focused on the status and trends of the Chinese pangasius consumption market, and provided important solutions for the improvement of the pangasius farming model, the transformation of feed enterprises, the improvement of fish fillet quality, export and consumption. The report mentions the use of advanced technology to change the color of pangasius fillet from red or yellow to white.
Today's global aquaculture industry is developing rapidly, and Indian aquatic products will surely usher in new development opportunities. The Nutriera team has been deeply involved in the Indian market for many years and has been widely recognized by industry friends. This conference not only provided novel ideas for many aquatic industry elites, but also pointed out the direction for the development of the Indian aquatic industry.
