On July 13th, Mr. Sujit Ghosh, Consul General of the Indian Consulate in Guangzhou, together with his wife visited Guangdong Nutriera Group in Zhuhai Industrial Park, companied by Dr. Yang Yong, President of Nutriera Group, Liu Mingchao, Assistant of President, Zhang Taizhuo, Deputy General Manager, and Liu Ming, Technical Director from Nutriera.
Mr. Sujit Ghosh visited the production workshop, the research institute and the R&D base. In the newly completed premixing plant, Mr. Sujit Ghosh visited the process equipment of each floor under the guidance of Dr. Yang Yong. He praised the premix production line after knowing it’s full set of Buhler equipment imported from Switzerland, with six advanced features of “safety, precision, low coefficient of variation, traceability, high efficiency and environmental protection”. He hoped that Nutriera will send more high-quality premix products and advanced technologies to India to promote the rapid development of local aquaculture.
At the Nutriera R&D Center, Consul General showed a strong interest in the functional premix of Chinese herbal extracts. He pointed out that plant extracts is natural and healthy. These products will be very popular in Indian market. In addition, India is also a traditional herbal medicine country, leading the world in the pharmaceutical industry. He hoped that China's technology and products can give India more inspiration and reference.
At the R&D base of Nutriera, Mr. Sujit Ghosh visited the pangasius, freshwater prawn and sea bass farming ponds, and also fed the fishes. He said that these cultured species are also very popular in India. He hoped that Nutriera Group will share the experience and technology with the Indian counterparts and promote the healthy development of the Indian aquaculture industry.
After knowing that Nutriera Group is also assisting Indian partners to export shrimp and fishmeal products to the Chinese market, he said that India and China had broad cooperation space in these areas and should pay more attention to cooperation.
After the visit, Mr. Sujit Ghosh said that he was deeply impressed by the visit and got a preliminary understanding of China's aquaculture, and the future cooperation space between China and India in the field of aquaculture makes people full of expectation. He revealed that with the steady improvement of the Indian economy, the Indian government has also paid more and more attention to aquaculture. In recent years, it has increased its budgetary investment in the aquaculture industry.
