On 29th March 2019, the “2019 Food in the Future - International Chinese Cuisine Stuff Application Summit” hosted by the China Ingredient and E-commerce Festival and the Chinese Cuisine Association Research Center was grandly held at the International Expo Center of Wuhan Hubei Province, China. The General Manager of SeaFreShare Seafood Supply Chain Service (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd, Mr. Zhang Taizhuo was invited to attend the summit and made a presentation.

Many well-known experts and food enterprises including JD Retail, Wuhan Liang Zhi Long, Juewei Food, Ecolovo Group, Shuhai Supply Chain and Meituan as well as 10 famous media units attended.

At the same time, Chinese Food Stuff Industry B2B Exhibition, namely China Food Stuff and E-commerce Festival was held. The exhibition area of this E-commerce Festival was more than 100,000 square meters. Over 2,000 exhibitors participated in the exhibition and 30,000 new food stuff were exhibited, which attracted more than 100,000 people to come and visit.

Mr. Zhu Changliang, the Chairman of Wuhan Liang Zhi Long Cuisine Express and Mr. Jia Chuangang, the vice Secretary of China Cuisine Association made a speech for the summit accordingly. Mr. Zhu Changliang called for the establishment of industrial standards, always put the food safety in the first place, connected with the production side to set up the agricultural order business mode and ensure the stability and safety of food stuff. Mr. Jia Chuangang emphasized the need of in-depth researching for the potential value of food stuff so as to provide more recipes for consumers and let them enjoy more delicious cuisine.

During the summit, the opening ceremony of consultant R&D group of “Food in the future” was held.

Mr. Zhang Taizhuo, the General Manager of SeaFreShare Seafood Supply Chain Service (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd was invited by the Summit Committee to share a specific presentation named The New Trend of Food Stuff Characteristic and Catering Application for Shrimp. In his presentation, he thoroughly analyzed the value of food ingredient for shrimp from 3 aspects including the nutrition value, the species and quality control, the new trend of application for shrimp in food. The shrimp has the advantages of high protein, low fat, good meat quality, pleasant taste and is rich with EPA, DHA and other highly unsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) and astaxanthin. In addition, shrimp has health care value such as anti-oxidation, anti-aging and anti-cancer. What’s more, it can be cooked in variable ways. The presentation was rich in content and practical data, and brought professional knowledge of shrimp as food stuff for audients and buyers, which was highly praised by participants.

Europe and the United States once were the main consuming countries for shrimp. However, the consumers’ concept changed from eating for full to eating for satisfaction with the rapid development of China economic strength. The demand of prawn for Chinese markets is increasing. According to the incomplete statistics, the total imported volume of shrimp products in China was over 100,000 tons in January 2019. China has become one of the most important markets for shrimp products.

With the continuous improvement of people’s disposable income, safety, nutrition and convenience have become the key words for the consumption upgrade new trend of aquatic products. The relevant enterprises in aquaculture industry must pay close attention to these new changes of consumer demand, and to guide the product upgrade of production side or expansion of industry chain.
