Kaviphone Phouthavong, Director General of the Department of Livestock and Fisheries at the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Laos, said that he had heard about the expertise of Nutriera in the field of aquaculture. This visit gave him a deeper understanding on-site. Feed costs account for about 60%-80% of the breeding costs, and how to reduce the costs in the aquaculture process and improve the breeding benefits is an urgent issue to be resolved in Laos. The development of aquatic feed in Laos is slow, and the scale of aquaculture is relatively small. Currently, the Lao government has plans to expand the production of aquatic feed, especially fish feed. Nutriera Group is outstanding in both scientific and technological research and development, and international exchange trainings. He looks forward to in-depth cooperation with Nutriera Group. Now, the "Belt and Road Initiative" is a very hot topic, and he also hopes that both sides can carry out China-Laos government-to-government international cooperation projects to help the rapid development of the Laos fisheries.
